We would like to hire a Bookkeeper to manage our company’s accounting and finance activities. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, tax returns, and other duties required to help keep our company running smoothly and in compliance with applicable laws. Along with strong technical skills, we highly value the ability to communicate directly with our clients and vendors to field client inquiries, handle bank-related matters, and resolve payment disputes.
The ideal candidate will be an effective multitasker who thrives under the pressure of deadlines. We are looking for a candidate who will take initiative to challenge the status quo by reviewing our current account systems, identifying areas for improvement, presenting ideas to management for approval, and overseeing implementation. - Record daily financial transactions
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Handle payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Balance and maintain company ledgers
- Track and reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis
- Pay vendor invoices
- Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns

- 5 years of experience working with accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledgers
- Knowledge of bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or Xero
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Excel
- Firm grasp of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prepare and present financial reports
- Adherence to all codes of ethics and rules of confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
